El mismo día que se rumoreaba que el filipino Kristoffer Ardeña participaría en la Bienal de Venecia, inauguraba esta exposición sobre la representación de la identidad y los planteamientos estéticos asociados en su galería madrileña. José Rizal es un héroe nacional filipino, y el artista coloca varios knock-off (plagios no autorizados) de obras clásicas junto a vídeos que varían en las semanas que durará la muestra, descriptivos del status del propio artista. Una explicitación de las maneras en que la estrategia artística conceptual se ha convertido ya en una habilidad aprendida.
The same day we listen the rummors that Kristoffer Ardeña was selected to participate in Venice Bienale, he show at his gallery in Madrid this exhibit about artistic identity and the aesthetics linked. José Rizal was a national hero in Phillipines, and the artist shows some knock-off paintings with some videos that will be changed during the exhibit. Everything talks about the artist´s status, and how the conceptual practize is now a learned hability.
